First Aid at work Requalifying

course/Award information

Did you know?
All workplace first aiders are required to complete requalification training every three years to maintain their role.

According to Health and Safety Executive (HSE) guidance, if an employee’s First Aid at Work (FAW) certificate expires, they are “no longer considered competent to act as a first-aider in the workplace.” This means it’s essential to ensure requalification takes place before the certificate lapses.

The Qualsafe Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work (RQF) Requalification course enables first aiders to renew their qualification in just two days.

During this course, participants will refresh their knowledge, practise vital first aid procedures, and learn the latest techniques for managing workplace emergencies.

Important:

  • All requalifying first aiders must have previously completed a First Aid at Work course.
  • Certificates expired by more than 30 days cannot be renewed through this course; the full 3-day First Aid at Work (RQF) must be completed in line with HSE guidance.
  • Evidence of prior qualification (expiring or expired certificate) is required at the time of booking.
